Alice M. Clark

Alice M. Clark, 88, of Milan passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Avonlea Cottages, Milan. Services for Alice will be 10 am, Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Avonlea Cottages, Milan. Alice was born on August 25, 1928 in Monticello, Illinois, a daughter of Harvey Gaskill and Vaden Wilson Gaskill. She married William Clark on September 1, 1947 in Champaign, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2011. Alice was the manager of Solid Gold Jewelers, Normal, Illinois before her retirement in 1993. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. She taught Sunday school at Christ Lutheran Church, Normal, Illinois for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking and making quilts for her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Rick (Sally) Clark, Springfield, Missouri, Marianne (Lee) Meyers, Rock Island; grandchildren, David (Jen) Zebarth, Brian (Jen) Zebarth, Matt (Laura) Clark, Amanda (Josh) Martin, Peter (Erica) Clark, and Stephen (Victoria) Meyers; great grandchildren, Ian, Drew, Tyler,  Alenna, Joshua, Evan, Benjamin, and Anna; and several nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; a son, David Clark; a daughter, Linda Zebarth; and all her siblings.
