 Anne N. Brinn, 100, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Monday October 17, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Private family services will be held with Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial with military honors, presented by Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 299, will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to The ARC of the Quad Cities Area.

 Anne was born January 8, 1916 in West Hazleton, PA, a daughter of Julia and George Neveras. She received her registered nursing degree at St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II.

 Anne and Robert W. Brinn were united in marriage on May 16, 1942 in Huntsville, AL. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1975.

 Anne worked at Veterans Hospital in Washington, D.C., whiler her husband attended Law School at Georgetown University. She and Robert subsequently returned to reside in Rock Island.

 She was a member and past-president of Rock Island County Bar Auxiliary; member and last of the founders of The ARC of Rock Island County founded in 1952; and charter member of the Women's Military Service Memorial in Washington, D.C.

 Anne is survived by her son, Michael Brinn (Jessica Brady), Moline; and grandchildren, David Brinn and Kelly Brinn.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W.; son, Robert H.; parents; four sisters; and four brothers.
