Arthur L. Twitty

Arthur L. Twitty, 75, of Moline, passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

 Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 – 7th Ave., Rock Island. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

 Arthur was born January 30, 1943 in Leora, Missouri, the son of Chester A. and Dorothy P. Yeater Twitty. He graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1961.

 He was employed at the John Deere Harvester Works for 32 years. He was a member of the U.A.W, the N.R.A. and the Milan Rifle Club. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 Surviving are his wife, Sharon, of Moline; children and their spouses, Wade and Vikki Twitty, Coal Valley, Deena and Joe Thomas, Grand Mound, Iowa, and Spencer Twitty, Zwingle, Iowa; grandchildren, Chelsey and Ian Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Bill Eggers, Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews.

 Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Fitzgerald.
