Charles "Charlie" T. Eagle

Charles Thomas “Charlie” Eagle, 22, passed away on July 2, 2017 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Charlie was born on October 25, 1994 to Suzanne and James Eagle. Charlie attended Horace Mann, Earl Hanson, Edison, and Rock Island High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 and his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, both from Iowa State University. Charlie was employed as an engineer at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where he worked in the transmission group.

Charlie had a smile that could light up a room and his absence will leave a great void in the hearts and lives of his family and friends. He enjoyed every sport he participated in, especially mixed martial arts, soccer, and ultimate frisbee.

Charlie is survived by his parents, his brother, Joe and his fiancée, Melissa Ewing, his sister, Julie and her husband, Brandon Malecek; a niece, Isabel Eagle Malecek and grandmother, L. Eileen Atchison.

Visitation will be at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial, immediately following Mass, will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation.
