David E. Jepsen

David E. Jepsen, 54, of Lynn Center, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

A funeral service for David will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2815 W 3rd St, Coal Valley, with the Rev. Robert Hagen, Pastor officiating.  Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley or to the American Cancer Society.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family.

David was born June 15, 1963 in Ida Grove, Iowa, the son of Thomas E. and Judy A. (Hosmer) Jepsen.  He married Beverly R. Weinrich on February 14, 1988 in Pierce, Neb.  Dave worked at Case New Holland in Mt. Joy as a Mechanical Engineering Checker. 

Dave was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley, where he served as an Elder.  He loved Jesus and his large extended family. Dave was also very fond of fishing and taking the annual Jepsen family camping trip.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bev; children, Stephen Jepsen (Gina McCoy), Dixon, Ill. and Angela Jepsen, Lynn Center; sisters, Debra (Michael) Reed, Ida Grove, Iowa, Dianna (Chad) Menefee, Sargent Bluff, Iowa; and many other loving family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy.
