Sorry to hear of Ed's passing. My condolences to the entire family on your loss.

I worked under Ed during the last six years of his career (from 1986-1992) when he was Director of Pricing at Deere & Company. Although I was 30+ years Ed's junior, he was more than willing to share his knowledge and wisdom with me and other young employees in the group. The 1980s were very difficult years for the company but Ed was steady as a rock and great leader in tough times. He also had a great sense of humor. Pricing decisions in those days were not easy. I'll never forget one of Ed's classic lines to me, "when the engineers are mad at you because the price is too low, and the sales people are mad because the price is too high ... it's probably priced about right." RIP Ed.

I'm saddened to learn of Ed's death. My first though was that it can't be right - Ed seemed to never age; yet, the circle of like prevails.......
Reflecting a bit, I was fortunate to work with and for Ed for 10+ years. I came to know the kind, capable, caring, gentle-man that he was. I have great respect for Ed and consider him my friend.
I'm in Wisconsin, it's unclear whether I can attend Ed's services. To Jo and all, please know that you have my deepest sympathies and my very best wishes. Like you, I"ll miss Ed too.

Very sorry to learn of Ed's passing and the family's loss. Ed was a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with both at the East Moline Branch and later at Deere & Company. He always exhibited a calm demeanor and was always willing to help solve the problem at hand.
