Felipe P. Horne

Felipe P. Horne, 52, of Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at his home. Memorial service and visitation for Felipe will be Friday from 1 to 2 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. There will be no burial services. Memorials may be made to the family. Felipe Pierre Horne was born on January 22, 1965 in Chicago, to Annette (Brown) Horne and Calvin Garner. He attended Raster Elementary School , Dyette Junior High, and Harper High School on Chicago's South Side. In 1989, Felipe moved to Rock Island, Illinois. Felipe worked for United Cerebral Palsy, where he worked from 1996 until he became ill in 2002. Felipe was quiet and a loving, caring person. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved the casinos and dancing. Felipe was preceded in death by his mother, Annette; his grandmother, Dorothy; grandfather, Y.C. Garner; brothers, Angelo and Ricardo; sister, Rhonda; nephews, Angelo Jr., Rashawn Jr., and Kevin. Felipe leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Tycianna Lovelady. He will be missed by his sisters, Carolyn (Linda) Horne, Carmelita (Curtis) Horne-Reed, Tequilla (Timothy) Horne-Newsome, Terry (David)Kelly, Chicago, Monica (Dusty) Brooks, Chicago, Adrienna Garner and Kesha Lyons; his brothers, Wendell Horne, Martinez (Mary) Horne, Young Calvin Garner Jr. and Calvin Hardwick, Chicago. Felipe was deeply loved by his three grandchildren, Darshae, Alaysia and Zyaire; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by his loved ones.
