Fred S. Taylor

Fred S. Taylor, 55, of Tempe, AZ, formerly of Rock Island, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at his home in Tempe.

Arrangements are pending at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be left to the family.

Fred was born on December 13, 1961 in Rock Island, the son of James E. and Doris M. (Marshall) Taylor Sr.

Mr. Taylor was employed by Foundation Building Material, Phoenix, AZ as a forklift operator. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, was a avid Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed watching AE Chanel, Nascar and his favorite driver Joey Lagano. Fred was also very proud to have attended the Chicago Cubs spring training game with lifetime friend Reggie this past year at Sloan Field in Mesa, AZ.

Survivors include his children, Tyrone Taylor, Moline, Tashia(Jeffrey Jr.) Strawhacker, Moline; grandchildren, Quincy and Aubrey Strawhacker, both of Moline; siblings, Ruth Ann Taylor, Rock Island, Mark Sr. (Priscilla) Taylor, Rosemary Taylor, Derrick Rice, all of Rock Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Doris Taylor; brothers, James Taylor Jr., William Taylor, Charles Taylor and sister, Regena Austin.
