Johnny "J.T." Tot, Jr., 61, of Davenport, passed away Sunday April 23, 2017 at his home in Davenport.

 Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, with visitation 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial, with military honors presented by Vietnam Veterans of America, Quad Cities Chapter 299, will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois.

Johnny Tot, Jr. was born to Katherine and Jim Tot, Sr. in Friars Point, Mississippi on December 13, 1955. He attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Central High School in Davenport, IA.

 Johnny joined the United States Navy in March of 1974. After serving three years as a Damage Control Officer aboard the U.S.S. Manitowoc, LST 1180, he was honorably discharged in 1977. Afterward, he did inactive duty at the Rock Island Arsenal for six years until he became disabled in May of 1985.

 He accepted Christ into his life and was baptized on April 19, 2017. He married the love of his life for 34 years Jo Ann Martin Rhoden.

 He loved to listen to the blue's. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing the drums and dancing. His motto was " I'm doing what I like, and I like what I'm doing. I have had my fun if I don't get well." He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He enjoyed his family and being around them.

 He leaves to Celebrate his life, his wife, Jo Ann, of Davenport; four children, Johnny Tot II and Tameca Tot, both of Davenport, Aaron Anderson, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Tiyana, Rhoden Tot, Davenport; stepsons, Travaris Rhoden and Bryan "Packy" Rhoden, both of Davenport; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; mother, Katherine Tot, Davenport; sisters, Barbara Moore and Patricia Bland, both of Moscow Mills, MO, Jenette Tot and Aretha Tot, both of Davenport; brothers, Edwin Goodman, Davenport, Rick Camper and Adam Hicks, both of Detroit, MI, and Roy Tot, Davenport; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

 Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Jim Tot; grandfather, Cody Westerfield; grandmothers, Sally Moore and Alfunchie Crawford; sisters, Deborah Harper and Mae Rose Clark; nephews, Troy D. Cole and Kevin Cornell Bland; and his stepson, Taurean "Tee" Rhoden.

 No Farewell, No Good-byes. You were gone before we knew, only God knows why.
