                Larry L. Kirby, 83, of Milan, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his residence.

                Per his request there will be no visitation.  Private services and burial will be conducted by the East Moline American Legion Post #227 at National Cemetery, Rock Island.

                Larry Lee Kirby was born on June 19, 1934 in Roseville, IL, the son of Marshall and Juanita Kirby.  Larry graduated from Rock Island High School.  He served in the US Army on active duty from 1957-1959 with one year of foreign service.  Following active duty he served four years in the US Army reserves.  He retired from John Deere Parts Distribution Center in 1985 with 30 years of service.

                Larry was involved in Sprint Car Racing for 65 years and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. 

                Larry is survived by his wife, Sarah; daughter, Vickie Siefker; stepsons, Lane and Trevor Collie; four grandchildren; one great grandson; three nieces; one nephew; and sister-in-law, Sharon Kirby.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and son.
