Leland C. Sowers, 58, of Milan, died Friday, April 21, 2017 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Ill. after an extended illness. Cremation rites were accorded. Services will be private. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family.
Leland was born in Burlington, Iowa on October 19, 1958, a son of Ivan K. and Twila Crawford Sowers. Leland was raised by Ivan K. and Beverly Sowers.
Leland loved fishing and watching sports.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Ivan K. and Beverly Sowers, Milan; siblings, Cynthia Fest, William Rock, Sandra Bosley, Pamela Stracner, Ivan A. Sowers and Bryan Sowers; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Twila.
