Marilyn "Lynn" P. Hargrave

Marilyn P. "Lynn" Hargrave, 84, of Coyne Center, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 surrounded by her family at home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave. E., Milan.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the March of Dimes. 

Lynn was born on March 10, 1933 in Rock Island, the daughter of Edward B. and Reba C. (Bryner) Boyd.  She graduated high school and married Donald Hargrave on February 4, 1951 in Rock Island.  Lynn was a homemaker for her husband and four loving children.

Lynn was a past president of the Coyne Center School Club and the Coyne Center Fire Department Auxiliary.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with family, needlework and was an avid reader.  Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. "She took it serious and did it right."

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald, Coyne Center; sons, Thomas E. Hargrave,  AZ; Roger E. (Dea) Hargrave, Coyne Center;  daughter, Tj Hargrave, Scottsdale, AZ;  grandchildren, Tina Wallace, Jessica Hart, Heather Doerr, Chad Hargrave, Erin Bannerman and Maggie Olsen; 14 great grandchildren;  brother, Daniel E. Boyd, Maquoketa, Iowa and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Lynn; her parents and a sister and brother in infancy.
