Scott R. Anderson

 Scott R. Anderson, 32, of Chicago, formerly of Milan, went to be with
his Lord and Savior,  Thursday, May 25, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Edgewood Baptist
Church, Rock Island. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock
Island. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made
to the family to be designated later.
 Scott was born April 29, 1985 in Moline, IL, a son of Rick and Veta
Brumbaugh Anderson. He graduated from Sherrard High School in 2003. He
then attended Black Hawk College and later graduated from Trinity
Christian College, Palos Heights. He currently was completing his
Master's Degree  at Moody Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL. His focus
was on urban ministry and children's chaplaincy.
 His home church is Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. While living
in Chicago, he was attending Harvest Chicago West, where he worked and
was active in the ministry for special needs children.
 Scott spent his life living for his Lord and Savior. He never knew a
stranger and will be fondly remembered as a friend to all. He was an
avid Chicago White Sox fan and loved basketball.
 Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Rick and Veta
Anderson, Milan; fiancée, Rachel Campbell, Chicago; brothers (and
spouses), Wade (Andrea) Anderson, Rock Island, Jeremy (Kristin)
Anderson, Davenport, Clint (Lindsay) Anderson, Rock Island, and Kyle
(Rheanne) Anderson, Rock Island; nephews and niece, Gauge, Kylee, and
Ashton Anderson; paternal grandparents, Richard and Jean Anderson,
Matherville; maternal grandmother, Willa Maurine Brumbaugh, Davenport; uncles
and aunts, Steve and Sue Brumbaugh, Davenport, and Rich and Karen Taets,
Milan.
 Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray Brumbaugh
and paternal aunt, Kathy White.
