| James D. Ziffrin, 76, of Moline, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
At Jim’s request, there will be no services. His body has been donated for scientific study. Memorials may be made to the Colona Grade School, Colona, IL 61241. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements.
James Ziffrin was born February 6, 1932 in Moline, a son of H.B. and Betty Ziffrin. He married Rosa Verger on June 30, 1962 in Davenport. She died March 28, 2007.
James graduated from the University of Miami, Florida and was a partner in H.B. Ziffrin Sales Company.
He had been a member of Short Hills Country Club for over 40 years and a member of the Soma Golf Organization.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie, San Francisco; his sister, Marilyn, Bradford, NH; and his nieces, Margery, Honolulu, HI, Linda, Concord, Mass., and Judy, Scottsdale, Az. He was preceded in death his wife, Rosa and brother, Norman.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew his gentle and loving nature.
