| Annette S. Laurin, 92, a resident of Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, died Thursday,
March 13, 2008 at the home. Services for Mrs. Laurin will be private. There will be
no visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home,
201-E. 4th Avenue, Milan is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Annette was born on February 18, 1916 in Hammond, Indiana the daughter of
John and Antonia Shimkus. She married Stephen Kibort, later she married Leonard
Laurin, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Laurin owned and operated a tavern near
Wrigley Field in Chicago for many years. She was a great Chicago Cubs fan and
enjoyed horse racing.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Kibort, Milan; grandchildren, Wendi Houswerth,
Franklin Park, IL, Scott Kibort, Glendale, IL; great grandchildren, Candi Kibort, Steve
Houswerth, Sean Houswerth; and a great-great grandson, Blaze Kibort.
Mrs. Laurin son, Steve Kibort would like to thank the Oak Glen Home Staff for the
loving care and kindness they provided his mother.
