| Michael P. Dugan, 66 of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services will be 10:00AM Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, where he was a member. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, with military honors presented by American Legion 569/200 and V.F.W. 1303. Memorials may be made to the family.
Michael was born October 30, 1941 in Rock Island the son of Chester E. and Albia (Lewzader) Dugan. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School in 1959. He married Relda Caulkins in 1965. He later married Linda Hart in 1979.
Mr. Dugan had been employed at the former Rock Island Tobacco Co., currently the Rock Island Distributing Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1996. He later had worked at the Rock Island Quick Mart.
Mr. Dugan was a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam. He enjoyed antique muscle cars, working on his 1967 Camero, music, watching the stock cars races at the Davenport and East Moline race tracks, and playing tennis. Mr. Dugan had been a former member of the Rock Island Elk’s Club.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Michelle and Thomas Jared, Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Amanda Urmy, Davenport, Kristi, Brihtnie, Samantha, Brett and Brandon Jared, all of Rochester, MN; brother and sister in law, James and Irene Dugan, Rock Island; many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
