Interment: 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill.

Alice May Rettig, 91, of Milan, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Graveside services will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian, Milan, where they will be designated for a memorial in memory of Alice. The former Alice May Wright was born on October 28, 1916 in Milan, a daughter of Thomas and Lily Masters Wright. She married Marvin L. Rettig on October 28, 1939 in Milan. He died July 14, 1992. For a short time, Alice worked as an inspector for Rock Island Tailoring. She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan, where she served as a Deaconess and Sunday school teacher. Alice was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 326, Milan. Her life was about people and she especially loved her family. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Bruno, Dallas, Tex.; a grandson, Paul Bruno, Dallas and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, William, Herbert and Jack Wright and a sister, Annie Hutchinson Lees.
