| Donald L. Wilson, 75, of Taylor Ridge, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rock Island, where military honors will be presented by American Legions Posts 200 and 569 and V.F.W. Post 1303. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
Don was born on December 26, 1932 in Rock Island, the son of Harry J. and Pearl Tomlinson Wilson. He married Elizabeth K. “Betty” Turney on October 10, 1954 in Milan.
He was an electrician and part owner of the former White Electric, Moline.
Don was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Milan American Legion Post 569 and the Rock Island V.F.W. Post 1303. He was also a member of the I.B.E.W. union local 145. Don enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Karen Wilson, Cabool, MO and Rick and Joan Wilson, Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Chris Langley, Candice Wilson, Kelly Wilson, Keith Wilson Jr., Makayla Green, Sarah Wilson and Shannon Wilson and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Adelia Jean Kimble.
