| Jamie L. Behrens, 56 of Rock Island, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. A gathering to celebrate Jamie’s life will be 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Friends Circle Club, Moline. There will be no services. Private inurnment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
Jamie was born June 11, 1951 in Rock Island, the daughter of James and Mary Coghill Shaw. She married Jim Behrens, August 11, 1977 in Rock Island. She worked for the former Illinois Bell Telephone Company, Rock Island for 17 years up until the late 1980’s. Jamie loved the fishing trips that she and her and husband took to Bagley, WI. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family and friends. She was also active in her community.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Behrens, Rock Island; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Joy Behrens, Geneseo and Brett Behrens, San Francisco; mother, Mary Shaw, Rock Island; grandchildren, Alissa and David, Jr.; great grandsons, Keldon and Noah; brothers and sister-in-law, Marty Shaw, Caseyville, Il , Steve and Terri Shaw, Lakeland, FL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded by her father.
