| Shirley J. Young, 42, of Rock Island, died Sunday April 20, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Services are 12:00 p.m Friday at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, 929 14th St., Rock Island, with visitation 2 hours prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shirley was born February 13, 1966 in Rock Island, a daughter of John Young and Mazzie Millbrook. She was a homemaker. She loved music, singing, and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving are her maternal grandparents, Hazel Millbrook, Rock Island, and Buddy Millbrook, Cherry Valley, AR; mother, Mazzie King, Rock Island; daughter, Cecelia Allen, Rock Island; brothers, Roy and Greg Millbrook, Kevin Young, and Marcus King, all of Rock Island, Marvin Millbrook, San Jose, CA, and John Young, Mississippi; sisters, Faye and Nagala Millbrook, both of Rock Island; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Her paternal grandparents, father, and a brother, Mark Anthony Floyd, preceded her in death.
