| Candice A. Schlueter, 50, of Rock Island, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at her home.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club or to Transitions, Inc.
Candice was born on February 3, 1958 in Janesville, Wis., a daughter of Richard and Arlene Cutts Schlueter.
She worked as a conductor for Iowa Interstate Railroad. Candice previously was employed in food service management and especially enjoyed teaching the handicapped job skills to enable them to find employment through the Handicapped Development Center.
She was a member of Gilda’s Club, Davenport and supported the work of Transitions, Inc. Candice loved the water, riding her motorcycle, her cats and her dog, Muffy.
Survivors include her son, Josh Schlueter, Rock Island; parents, Richard and Arlene of Janesville, Wis.; a brother, Gary and sister, Stephanie, both of Janesville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry.
