Mazzie L. King, 64, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services for Ms. King will be 12 pm, Monday at the Mt. Olive Church of God and Christ, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mazzie was born September 14, 1943 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas the daughter of Buddy and Hazel Barnes Millbrook. Ms. King worked as an assembler at John Deere Davenport Works for 30 years. Mazzie was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God and Christ, Davenport and the Prayer Warriors. She enjoyed gardening, stitchery and cooking. Mazzie was a very caring person and was always doing for others before herself. Survivors include her mother, Hazel Millbrook, Rock Island; father, Buddy Millbrook, Cherry Valley, Ark; daughters, Yolanda Faye Millbrook, Rock Island, Nagala Millbrook, Rock Island; sons, Roy Millbrook, Rock Island, Marvin Millbrook, San Diego, California, Kevin Young, Rock Island, Gregory Millbrook, Rock Island, Marcus Millbrook, Rock Island; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Paula Millbrook, Rock Island, Joyce and her husband, Gary Bogguess, Rock Island, Linda Millbrook, Rock Island Josephine and her husband, Walter Davis, Westland, Michigan; brothers, Gary Millbrook, Rock Island, Tony Millbrook, Rock Island, Ted Millbrook, Rock Island; Kim Millbrook, Rock Island; special friend, Sister Mary Conner. Mazzie was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Young; a son, Anthony Millbrook; a grandson, Kylan Houston; brothers, Ricky Millbrook and James Millbrook.
