Marian Boden, 89, a resident of the Davenport Good Samaritan Center, formerly of Rock Island and Milan, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Center. Services will be 9:30 am on Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island, where a Christian Wake service will be conducted at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Marian was born on December 21, 1918 in Joy, Illinois the daughter of George R. and Leva B. Berkey. She married Robert M. Boden, Sr. on December 21, 1939 in Rock Island. He preceded his wife in death on January 13, 1994. Mrs. Boden was a homemaker and had worked at the Villa de Chantel School for Girls as a cook. Her memberships include Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Survivors include her children, Robert M. Boden, Jr., Moline, Carole (Terry) Dean, Rapid City, South Dakota, Deborah (Chuck) Sandefur, East Moline; daughters in law, Helen Boden, Rock Island, Nialene (Nan) Boden, Moline; grand children, Teresa (Ken) Johnson, Judi Stamper, Greg (Sarah) Boden, Rebecca Boden, Jessica Boden, Sara (Matt) Klauer, Gary Boden, and Jacob (Kristin) Boden; great grandchildren, Kenny, Annamarie, Samantha, Bailey, Haylee, Shelby, and Kyle; 7 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren; a sister, Delores Robinson, Fresno California; several nieces and nephews.
