| Lynn C. Zeglin, 67, of Rock Island, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, with her loving family by her side.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice, or to Gilda’s Club.
Lynn Bartholomew was born on November 30, 1940 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, a daughter of Leroy and Leah McNeely Bartholomew. She married Andrew J. Zeglin, Jr. on May 8, 1959 in Rock Island.
She babysat many children in her home over the years. Lynn was a positive influence for many young children and their families.
She was a member of a card club that has met for 40 years. Lynn was a die-hard Cub fan, loved to play poker, was a great cook and in earlier years, was an avid bowler and participated in many tournaments.
Survivors include her husband, Andy; children, (and spouses), Susan Zeglin, Andrew III (Jill) Zeglin and Janice (Brett) Casper, all of Rock Island; grandchildren, Allison, Andrew IV, Mary Deloris, Dean and Spencer; great-grandsons, Drake and Payton; and a nephew, Michael Parker, Chicago. She was loved by her many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Georgia Fishel and Judith Bartholomew.
