| Lucille Britton-Terry, 52, of Rock Island, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Genesis Medical
Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services for Lucille will be 1:00 pm, Thursday at the Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in
Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 – 7th Avenue, Rock Island is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Lucille was born June 16, 1956 in McGhee, Arkansas the daughter of Lee Author and Glennette (Miller) Britton. Her memberships include Greater Antioch Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, singing,
dancing and fashion. All of her hobbies and interest where installed in her children. Lucille loved family
gatherings and especially her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Sanders, who raised Lucille, Moline; children and spouses,
Yahnishia and Archie Bragg, Davenport, Lavonda and Michael Parks, East Moline, Shonti Johnson and
his fiancée, Gail Epps, Arlington, Texas, Aletta Marie Johnson, East Moline; several brothers and sisters; seven grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her father, Lee Author Britton, aunt, Virginia Gaines, cousin, Carl Foulks and special friend, Charlie “Boss” Shivers.
