| Ruthann F. Wahlberg, 70, a resident of Park Vista, East Moline, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at her home. Services for Mrs. Wahlberg will be 10 am, Thursday at the Preemption United Methodist Church, Preemption, ILL. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201
E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Burial will be in the Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the
Diabetes Association.
Ruthann was born January 22, 1939 in Rock Island, the daughter of David and Violet Britton Hintermeister. She married Willard Wahlberg on October 6, 1963 in Preemption. Ruthann
graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
She taught school at the Coyne Center Grade School for 34 years, retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Wahlberg enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also
enjoyed doing ceramics and being with her pet dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Willard; children and their spouses, Kathleen (and Robert) Brennan,
Glen Ellyn, ILL., Bryan (and Deb) Wahlberg, Algonquin, ILL.; grandchildren, Katie, Breanna, Megan,
Sarah, Branden, Tommy and Bobby; a sister and spouse, Patricia (and John) Anderson, Coal Valley;
a brother and spouse, David (and Peggy) Hintermeister, Pleasantville, IA; a niece and spouse,
Tracy (and Kent) Delperdang; two great nieces, Molly and Jill.
