| Lilly K. Todd, 81, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lilly Ostergaard was born on October 23, 1927 in Coulter, Iowa, a daughter of Arne and Elizabeth Nipgaard Ostergaard. She married Edward W. Todd on July 16, 1949 in Rock Island. He died in August 1981.
She worked for a short time at the Container Corporation of America, Rock Island.
Lilly was a member of Memorial Christian Church. She was a Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed water aerobics and dancing. Lilly was an avid walker and participated in seven Bix 7 races, but she loved most of all her children and grandchildren and attending their many activities.
Survivors include her children (and spouses), Bill Todd, Roy, Utah, Diane (Vern) McAllister, Muscatine, Dave Todd, Sherrard and Rich (Vicki) Todd, Milan; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Thielen, Latimer, Iowa, Irma Milano, Visalia, Calif.; and a brother, Bob Ostergaard, Plymouth, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents; and brothers, Kenny and Niels Ostergaard.
