| Patricia J. Grems, 74, of Rock Island, died Sunday July 19, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
Patricia J. Sacco was born May 2, 1935, in Clarkdale, Iowa, a daughter of Jasper Sacco, Jr. and Mary Etta Armstrong Sacco. In her earlier years, Patricia worked at Eagles Foods in Rock Island and East Moline. She then worked for the State of Illinois in the Department of Mental Health and later retired from the Department of Children and Family Services.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. While living at Friendship Manor she served as President of the Resident’s Council.
Survivors include her mother, Mary E. Sacko, Rock Island; daughter, Lisa Blixt, and her companion Jim Eddy, both of Moline; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Becky Grems, Coal Valley, IL; grandchildren, Rebecca, Ben, Chelsea, Noah, Christian, and Abigail.
Her father and one sister, Jean Hayes, preceded her in death.
