| Francis M. “Frank” Seefeldt, 85, a resident of Comfort Harbor Nursing Home, Milan died
Wednesday, August 05, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services for Frank will
be 11 am, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201-E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery,
where military rites will be conducted by the Milan American Legion Post No. 569/200 and the Rock Island VFW Post No. 1303. Memorials may be made to Comfort Harbor Nursing Home, Milan.
Frank was born September 21, 1923 in Rock Island, the son of Walter and Alice Smith Seefeldt. He was a veteran of Word War II serving in the Merchant Marines, retiring in 1988. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and slot machines. He was a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge No. 190, Milan American Legion Post No. 569/200 and the Rock Island VFW Post No 1303, and the Seafarers International Union.
Survivors include his special friend and companion, Susie Work; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Seefeldt was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maxine Hubbard and brother’s James and Walter Seefeldt. The family would like to give special thanks to Iris and his other friends at Comfort Harbor.
