Linda L. Elliott, 64, of Rock Island, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at her
home. Services for Ms. Elliott will be 11 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 – E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Linda was born August 28, 1945 in Davenport, the daughter of Lonnie “Pete” Elliott, Sr. and Louise Powers Elliott. Linda was a 1963 graduate of Rock Island
High School. She earned her masters degree in psychology from Illinois State
University. Linda worked as the School Psychologist for the Sherrard School District Unit No. 200. She retired from the school district in 1999. Earlier she had worked at a school in Florence, Arizona for children with special needs. Ms. Elliott was a member of the Good Sheppard Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. She enjoyed reading, gardening, children and animals.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Tacey, Rock Island; sister in law,
Tina Elliott, Milan; nephews and their spouses, Chris and Tracy Elliott, Milan,
Joe and Kim Elliott, Milan, Tom and Shannon Elliott, Davenport; several great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Elliott Sr.; a brother, Lonnie Elliott, Jr.; an infant sister, Janet Elliott. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wheelanpressly.com
