| Shirley A. Jackson, 81, of Milan, passed away Thursday April 15, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island.
Services will be 10:00a.m., Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Shirley was born on December 1, 1928 in Rock Island, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Lang) DeVrieze. She married Robert A. Jackson on February 9, 1946 at Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island.
She had been employed for over 30 years as an office secretary at Spiegel Moving and storage.
Mrs. Jackson had been a member of Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughter, Karol Jackson, Milan; sons and daughters in law, Dan and Cheryl Jackson, Gary and Janet Jackson, all of Moline; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara and Joyce; brothers, Ronnie and Bobby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a loving son, Robert “Bobby” Jackson.
