| Barbara A. Dorough, 77, of Coal Valley, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at the
Hillcrest Home, Geneseo. Services for Mrs. Dorough will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s
Foundation.
Barbara was born October 17, 1932 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Edward Martinec and Francis Baudino Martinec. She married Theodore “Ted” Dorough on December 18, 1976. Mrs. Dorough worked as a computer analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Barb was a member of Pinnacle Country Club, Coal Valley; founding member of Gendler’s Wine Club and was a league bowler at Town and Country Lanes, Rock Island. Barbara enjoyed playing
golf.
Survivors include her husband, Ted; children, Paula Muir, Boulder, Colorado,
Sharon Harris and her husband, Nathan Harris, Exeter, New Hampshire,
DeAnn Dorough, Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, Joseph Dorough, Browns Mills, New Jersey, Gregory Dorough, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Devyn and Sydney.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a son, DeWayne Dorough.
