| Geraldine G. Geifman, 90, of Dallas, Tx., formerly of Rock Island, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island. Burial is at Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Tri City Jewish Center or to a favorite charity.
Geraldine Gendler was born on March 26, 1920 in Moline, a daughter of Max and Mary Harris Gendler. She married Morris M. Geifman on Oct. 29, 1939 in Rock Island. He died Feb. 12, 1995.
Gerry was a member of the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island. She had been a docent at the Putnam Museum. She had served as president of many Jewish organizations in the Quad Cities and also served as a volunteer and officer of many other area community organizations.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Leonard Comess and Cherie and Alan Weiss, all of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Terri Geifman, Chicago; grandchildren, Andy and Aaron Comess, Marcy and Laura Handler and Jacqui and Julie Geifman; great granddaughter, Stella Comess; and her sister, Rosalyn Zeffren, Omaha, Neb. She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Morrie.
