| Isabella Owens, 90, of Davenport, IA, died Wednesday November 10, 2010, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, IA.
Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday at First Paradise Baptist Church, 1520 9th Ave., Rock Island, IL, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Davennport Memorial Park, Davenport, IA. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, is assisting with arrangements.
Isabella was born October 1, 1920, in Desha County, Arkansas, a daughter of Giles Smith and Lucy McDonald Smith. She married William Owens on February 26, 1943, in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1975.
Prior to her retirement, Isabella was a housekeeper for 10 years for Quality Inn motels.
She was a member of First Paradise Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and fishing.
Survivors include her children, Willie Bea White, Blytheville, AR, Dora Bell Allen, Davenport, Lee Henry Owens, Jacksonville, FL, Isabella Smith, Blytheville, AR, Isaac Lee Owens, Tacoma, WA, and Mattie Mae Owens, Kewanee, IL; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Kenneth Smith, Verna Thompson, and Patricia Smith, all of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Isabella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Annie Mae Owens, sons, Daniel and Bobby Owens, and sister, Velva Smith. | |
