|Dink was born May 19, 1947 in Rock Island, the son of Richard K. and Thorney (Ruysbroeck) Paul. He was supervisory planning officer at the Rock Island Arsenal, where he worked for over 20 years.|
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Dink was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Dan Frain, Rock Island and Alison and Todd Jackson, Nixa, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Christine Boynton.
