| Margaret E. Sims, 90, of St. Anthony’s Nursing & Rehab. Center, Rock Island, died Monday July 5, 2010, at the center. Memorial services are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at Woodhull Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s. Margaret was born March 23, 1920, in Woodhull, to Gustaf and Ella Anderson. She married E. Dean Sims on February 14, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1979. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gus and Pat Sims, Milan; daughters-in-law, June and Mary Sims; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, parents, two sons, Ronald and Raymond Sims, one grandchild, one brother, and two sisters, preceded her in death. | |
