| Susan L. Henderson, 44, of Geneseo, was carried to Heaven Thursday August 12, 2010. In her last hours she was surrounded by her family after a 14 month battle with leukemia. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. A small service will follow at 8:00pm. Memorials may be made to the family. Susan was the wife of Ronald R. Henderson; daughter of Lajina A. Leasman and the late Donald E. Anderson. Additional survivors include her step father, Jess W. Etheridge; mother in law, Eula Henderson; sons and daughters in law, Thomas L. (Dolina) Henderson, Matthew M. Henderson, Timothy R. (Kandace) Henderson; sisters and spouses, Sissy (Randy) Walker, Regina L. (James) Anderson; brothers and spouse, Donald E. Anderson Jr., David L. (Jane) Anderson; 6 grandchildren including Nolan K Henderson to whom she had been a second mom. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was a fighter in her battle and her family will look up at the stars everynight to see and speak with her until we see her again. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald E. I feel so blessed to have known Susan. She was an inspiration to me. She was a fighter from start to finish. I am so sorry she was taken from you at such a young age. My sympathy goes out to all of the family, husband, mother, sisters and brothers. My prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met her a couple of times many years ago but I could tell that Sue was a good person with a great sense of humor and I know this is a difficult time for you.

My Sister how I miss you already.You werent just a sister you were a mom a friend,a therapist, a clown. I go through our memories every minute and pray you are makeing new ones with Daddy.
