Eva L. Adams, 76, Moline, passed away Sunday August 22, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Thursday at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church.

Eva was born on March 2, 1934 in Rock Island, the daughter of Edgar M. and Eva Wright Donlin. She married Charles M. Adams on September 11, 1953 at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church.

Eva had been employed earlier in life by Modern Woodman, Rock Island, John Deere Harvester, East Moline and Target, Moline. Later she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Adams was a life time member of Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and the Open Door Class. The highlight of her week was attending church and visiting with her friends. She was also a member of the PTA and Mississippi Wheelers Square Dancers.

Eva enjoyed reading, books, gardening, cross stitch and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Sheri and Ron Browning, Geneseo, Carrie and Michael Heaton, Geneseo; granddaughter, Carrie Browning-Perez and her husband, Omar, Charleston, SC, her step great grandson, Omar “Omi” Perez, granddaughter Linley Heaton, Geneseo and grandson Landon Heaton, Geneseo; brother, Richard Donlin, Rock Island.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles; sister in law, Dorothy Donlin; sister, Myrtle Fisher and 10 additional siblings.

The family wished to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff in ICU at Genesis Illini Campus, Silvis and the nurses and doctors at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo for the excellent care Eva received.
