| Jacki L. Tuttle, 60, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 in West Palm Beach, Fla., following a brief illness. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church. Jacki Lynn Grace was born on May 12, 1950 in Rock Island. She married Dr. Clay D. Tuttle on July 3, 1976 in Peoria, Ill. She was a sales associate with Ruhl and Ruhl Realtors and previously was associated with the Mel Foster Co. Prior to her career in real estate, Jacki worked for the Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation and Development Association of Rock Island (DARI). In earlier years, she worked for the Aetna Life and Casualty Co., Davenport. Jacki was a member of the Rock Island Kiwanis Club, Rock Island/Milan Booster Club, had been active in the PTAs in the schools in which her children attended. She was also a member of the Volunteers for Symphony with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra Association, having assisted with the 2nd Fiddle Sale for several years. She attended Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Jacki’s life purpose and passion was her family. She relished her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending all their activities and especially loved the times the family was together. Survivors include her husband, Clay; sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton E. and Mireille Tuttle, Seattle, Wash., Cleve R. and Kerry Tuttle, Houston, Tx., and Christopher Y. Tuttle, Rock Island; daughters, Tara A. Tuttle and Taylor G. Tuttle, both of Rock Island; a granddaughter, Sandrine Tuttle, Seattle, and another grandchild on the way; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jim Goodrich, Galesburg, Ill.; nephews, Charlie Goodrich, Nathan Scott and Jonathon Michael; and a niece, Anna Michael. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jerri Grace and special grandmother, Hazel Bunch. | |
