Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kurt was born on June 23, 1948, in Aledo, the son of Evertt and Edith Foster.

Kurt had been employed by the Rock Island Arsenal for 17 years until retiring in 1992. Mr. Foster was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the Marine Corp.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Bessie Foster; son, Erik Foster, Rock Island; three great-grandchildren; sister, Linnea Foster, Milan. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie; his parents; a sister and brother.
