Interment: Friday November 05, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill.

Gerald E. “Jerry” McClean of East Moline passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, where a rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Additional visitation is 10:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to Alleman High School.

Jerry was born on August 11, 1942 in Rock Island, a son of Clifford W. and Mary Agnes Kerwin McClean.

He was a graduate of Alleman High School, class of 1960, and an Army veteran. He retired from John Deere Harvester in 2005, after 33 years of service.

Jerry married Carol Stahler in 1962. He married Mary Lou Bennett on May 27, 2006 in East Moline.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his three daughters, Elizabeth Junco, Miami, Fla., Colleen (Bryan) Radosevich, Lakewood, Colo., and Christi McClean, Miami; grandchildren, Andres, Gabriella and Adrian Junco, and Carlee Radosevich. He also leaves two brothers, Dr. Vincent C. McClean and Michael J. (Deanna) McClean, all of Rock Island. His extended family includes, Darren (Dawn) Bennett, Blue Springs, Mo., Anisa (Paul) Braddock, Bettendorf, and Keir Bennett, East Moline, grandchildren, Andrea Preston, Donna Larson, William Preston, Austin and Savannah Bennett and Saebra and Scarlett Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Todd Vincent McClean.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and many friends who loved him dearly.
