| Robert G. Peschang, 79, of Rock Island, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. There are no services. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, or to the Audubon Society. Robert was born on Feb. 15, 1931 in Rock Island, the son of Bernard and Margaret Morrison Peschang. He married Joanne Coffield on Aug. 3, 1951 in Rock Island. He was the founder and proud owner of Blackhawk T.V., Rock Island. Since his retirement, the business continues under the ownership of his son, Kevin. Bob enjoyed his daily trips to the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center, where he enjoyed working out and was a longtime member. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; children (and spouses), Darcy (James) Foster, Modesto, Calif., Kevin (Teresa) Peschang, Milan and Angela (Gus) Kachevas, Rock Island; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and his sister, Delores (Merle) Heath, Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his parents. | |
