I had the pleasure of serving with Sanchez in the 90's in Germany and then in Korea while I was still in the military and he was a Civilian. During our time spent in Korea we spent time with each other almost daily for over eight months and became very close friends. I also got to meet cathy and the kids and know that Sanchez loved them very much. Sanchez also had a great deal of love for his friends and for music and culture of his native Puerto Rico, something that we had in common. Just last Sunday he called me and we spoke for about 15 minutes, little that I know that it was going to be our last conversation. Chez you will be missed by family and friends and as for me goes I feel like I lost a brother. My deepest condolences to Cathy and the kids. Felix Chinea

I just wanted to say how sorry I at your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family! I worked close to Chez. He was very quiet, but always had a smile and a hello when I passed him in the hallway at work. He was a great worker and we appreciated the job he did at TACOM. May God comfort you and your family during this time!

We are regular customers of Pinnochio's where Roberto is working, and heard of this tragic loss today. We were very "entertained" by Roberto when he went out of his way to be friendly to a couple of old folks out for lunch, and have looked forward to seeing him ever since. We are sure this world is going to miss "Chez" if he was anything like his "brother" Roberto. We are so sorry for your loss.

Chez was my TACOM Armament LAR when I was in the 3rd HBCT at Ft Benning. When I retired he helped me with my resume for TACOM and I eventually filled the position he left at FT Benning. Chez was a good man and I enjoyed working with him both as a Soldier and as a fellow LAR.
