|Joshua Wayne Blaser, 19, of Taylor Ridge, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at his home.|
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. Burial is at Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. There is no visitation. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Reynolds, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Island County 4-H.
Joshua was born on February 4, 1991 in Aledo, a son of Bradley and Penny Fuhr Blaser. He was a graduate of Rockridge High School. Josh enjoyed farming with his Dad.
He was a member of Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church; enjoyed many years in 4-H and was an alumni member of the Future Farmers of America. Josh was also a part of the Buffalo Prairie Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his parents, Brad and Penny of Taylor Ridge; brother, Thomas, East Moline; grandparents, Eileen Fuhr, Illinois City and Harold and Ann Blaser, Reynolds; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert W. Fuhr; and brothers, Brady and Logan.
I was Josh's American Government teacher at Rockridge HS. Josh was such a fun-loving, enjoyable kid to be around. I can still see him chewing his gum and asking if we were going to do anything that day in class; then complaining when I said yes. My sincere sympathies go out to his family.

Brad & Penny, We have been praying for you and your family to find comfort during this most difficult time. Josh was such a great kid. Not once would he walk by us at any county fair without saying hi, it just won't be the same. He meant a lot to Travis and they had some good times in the cattle barns.
Josh has a golden show halter to go along with those golden angel wings.
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to you....

Penny and Brad - I was so sorry to read about Joshua's passing in the newspaper. Death is a part of life, and the best way we can handle it is to keep our loved ones in our hearts and recount with a smile on our faces the many good times we shared with them. Your family will be in my prayers.

Penny, I am going to try to reach you by phone this evening --- but wanted you to know in case we don't connect how very sorry I was to hear the news. One of the things I always loved about you (and there are many) --was what a caring and devoted mom you are. You boys always came first to you and Brad -- and I appreciated that. Always know that you did the best that you could and as long as you remember that --- you can always live without questions or doubts. Please send my prayers to all of your family. Cheryl McIntire

If I am not with you in person on Monday, I will be there heartbroken for all of you in prayer and spirit. He has driven past my house daily, if not more often, with a smile, a wave, a farm boy's "howdy." Let me remember him that way. Love you both.
I will always remember Josh showing cattle. He was a good showman and took pride in the way his cattle looked. With deepest sympathy from our family to Josh's family. Tim,Shelly and Briana Grymonprez.

Dearest Brad and Penny and family, There are no words to express how deeply my heart aches for all of you. I lost my 24 year old son Shane on May 28th, 2010, in a car accident, and I cannot begin to fathom what you must be going through at this time. I wanted to write and tell you that you will be in my daily prayers, as I say them for myself. For God to lift your hearts above the sorrow I know you must be enduring. Brenda Turner is a long time precious friend of mine, and I know that she will be a trusted, devoted friend to you also throughout the coming months. Please know that you have a new friend in TENNESSEE that you are welcome to call or write ANYTIME. Day or night. I pray God's grace and comfort will surround and sustain each of you with every step you take. My deepest sympathy to you all, and my most sincere heartfelt sadness for your precious, priceless loss. God be with you and cover you with His ever faithful, hope sustaining wings... Christene Tippie

Every time I saw him it made my day. He was so kind. I remember one day in June he made my brother turn back to take me and my horse to my very first horse show, that is my favorite memory of all.
I am so sorry for your loss. We also lost a son last year and it is a parent's worst nightmare. We also have a son Joshua Robert Blaser Reynolds. I pray Our Lord comforts you all in your hour of need. Ann Blaser-Reynolds South Australia
