Donald L. Corwin, 83, of Milan, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his home. Services for Mr. Corwin will be 1:00 pm Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Donald was born November 19, 1927 in Chicago. He worked as a warehouse supervisor at A. D.

Huesing Co., Rock Island for 31 years before retiring in 1990. Don enjoyed going to HyVee every morning for coffee. He also enjoyed fishing, watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and NASCAR. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Survivors include his companion of 35 years, Lue Lipe, Milan; children, Dennis (Cathleen) Corwin, Rock Island, David Corwin, Rock Island, Boyd (Judy) Lipe, Independence, Missouri, Leonard (Elizabeth) Lipe, Andalusia; grandchildren, Donald, Timothy, Dustin, Jessica, Logan, Angela and Allan; a great grandson, Gavin.

We are so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Don, and I looked for him at the basketball game Wednesday night. Sorry we did not make the visitation, but, I had the wrong day. But our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
