The news of course was a shock, I feel really sad. I am so glad I was able to spend Christmas with her and give her one last hug. She was a good lady. Please know that you have my sympathy and prayers during these difficult times.

I am going to miss seeing Katie so much...I last saw her around Dec.20th and told her I'd be working inside for about 6 weeks and would see her then, I can't believe I won't...She and your Dad were some of the nicest people I've ever known. I'm glad to have known them both...With sympathy

My deepest sympathy to the family of Katie. I was so surprised to hear of her death. It was a pleasure knowing her and seeing her when she was in Oelwein. I got to know her through the class of Oelwein 1951. She will be remembered at the class reunion this summer as people ask about her often. Sorry I was not able to attend her service. My prayers will be with you at this difficult time. I think the last time I saw her was at Delores Lobans funeral. Sincerely, Donna Fauser, Oelwein
