| Lois J. Feldhahn, 79, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services for Mrs. Feldhahn will be 10 am Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Moline. Lois was born December 22, 1931 in Rock Island, the daughter of John Boynton and Gladys Whitehouse. She was a 1949 graduate of Rock Island High School. Lois married Alvin K. Feldhahn on January 13, 1951 in Rock Island. Mrs. Feldhahn worked as an executive secretary at Moline Tool Co. for 28 years, she retired in 1982. Previously she had worked at Royal Neighbors of America. Her memberships include First Christian Church, Moline and the Tau Delta Nu Sorority. Lois was a very loving and giving person; everyone who met Lois loved her. She enjoyed craft work, painting, gardening and traveling, she especially enjoyed her sons, grandchildren and great granddaughters. Survivors include her husband, Alvin; sons, Cary Feldhahn, Flower Mound, Texas, Brian (Jacki) Feldhahn, Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Derek Feldhahn, Brett Feldhahn, Lauren (Aaron) Collins, Angela Feldhahn, Alex Feldhahn; step granddaughter, Leisha Boynton; great granddaughters, Hannah and Chloe; sister, Marilyn (Lloyd) East, Gainesville, Texas; brother, William (Joan) Boynton, Port Byron; half brothers, John “David” (Donna) Boynton, Concordia, Missouri and Ronald Boynton, Concordia, Missouri. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Verna Boynton; sister, Janice Wheeler and brother, Wayne Boynton. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wheelanpressly.com | |
