Kevin Ronald Moore, 52, Rock Island, formerly of Sheffield, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his home due to natural causes. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.

He was born Dec. 27, 1958, in Kewanee to Duane and Dorcas Moore.

A graduate of Western High School, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Surviving are his father, Duane Moore of Sheffield; his mother, Dorcas (John) Gomez of New Llano, La.; two brothers, Kim (Teri) Moore and Keith (Lisa) Moore, both of Bradford; two daughters, Brittney Moore and Ashley (Jeremy) Lambert, both of Bourbonnais; two grandchildren, Collin Lambert and Destiny Moore; and a good friend, Monty House.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn and Elmer Moore, and Glen and Eva Gibson; and one sister, Dawn Barto.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in Sheffield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
