|Rubella Hepner, 80, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at her home. Services will be held at 9 am Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.|
Rubella was born in Davenport on January 12th, 1931, the daughter of Anthony and Alma Baker Polzin. She married Robert Hepner on April 16, 1949 in Rock Island.
Rubella was a home maker and enjoyed playing BINGO every Tuesday evening.
She is survived by her children; Linda (Dusty) Cutkomp, Milan, Larry (Theresa) Hepner, Moline, and Robert Hepner, Rock Island; grandchildren, Lorrie (Klint) Smith, Mark (Kim) Cutkomp, Mike (McKenzie) Cutkomp, Larry Hepner, and Josh (Chelsea) Hepner, all of Davenport; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Crouse, Morrison, IL, and Cathy (Gary) Bell, Geneseo, IL; brother, Dave (Sandy) Polzin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents.
I will miss you Aunt Bella! We had a wonderful visit last time I was in town. I will rember that always. I know you are in a better place now and your memory will live with me forever.
