Rubella Hepner, 80, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at her home. Services will be held at 9 am Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Rubella was born in Davenport on January 12th, 1931, the daughter of Anthony and Alma Baker Polzin. She married Robert Hepner on April 16, 1949 in Rock Island.

Rubella was a home maker and enjoyed playing BINGO every Tuesday evening.

She is survived by her children; Linda (Dusty) Cutkomp, Milan, Larry (Theresa) Hepner, Moline, and Robert Hepner, Rock Island; grandchildren, Lorrie (Klint) Smith, Mark (Kim) Cutkomp, Mike (McKenzie) Cutkomp, Larry Hepner, and Josh (Chelsea) Hepner, all of Davenport; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Crouse, Morrison, IL, and Cathy (Gary) Bell, Geneseo, IL; brother, Dave (Sandy) Polzin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents.
