Allen E. Pratt, 75, of Moline, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services for Allen will be 10 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the A.R.C. of Rock Island Co.

Allen was born on May 29, 1936 in Beloit, Wisc., the son of Rolland and Ruth Burreson Pratt. Allen worked for the A.R.C. of Rock Island Co.

Survivors include his sisters, Beverly Waller-Skriver, Davenport and Donna Scott, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wheelanpressly.com

I'm very sorry to see that Allen passed away. I knew for several years from his participation in SPEC. He was such a friendly and well-liked gentleman. I will miss him. Linda

Allan was a wonderful man. I was a volunteer at the ARC home thru United Health Care, an he was always the first to come outside an help- rake leaves- weed what ever the task was....We had some great laughs together- what a warm an compassion man. May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of knowing Alan when our company (UnitedHealth Care) worked with the ARC house that Alan was a member in. He was so wonderful to be around and was always willing to help with whatever we were doing. He will be greatly missed.

I'm sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I also knew Alan through the ARC home/UnitedHealthcare volunteer. He was always a joy to be around. It was inspiring to see him so excited about his medals, camping trips & helping with the task at hand. He put 100% of himself into everything we did & had a great time. He will be truly missed.
